Cercle Brugge has announced the signing of Luke Le Roux, a 26-year-old central midfielder who has joined on a free transfer. The club aimed to provide coach Lars Friis with additional reinforcements after a poor start to the season. Le Roux, a nine-time South African international, has previously played in Sweden and the Netherlands. He became available after his contract at the English club Portsmouth was not extended at the end of the previous season. He has signed a contract for two seasons.
