Łukasz Łakomy Transfer from Young Boys to OH Leuven
Lukasz Lakomy was loaned to OH Leuven from Young Boys before the international break. OH Leuven CEO Frédéric Van den Steen revealed that the club has a purchase option on Lakomy, and it is almost certain to be exercised next summer, making his stay longer than one season. Young Boys acquired Lakomy from Zaglebie Lubin in 2023 for 1.4 million euros, and his value has since risen to 3.5 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
Łukasz Łakomy is reportedly on the verge of joining OH Leuven, as he has not been assured of regular starting opportunities at Young Boys and is in search of consistent playing time. The transfer news was reported by FootballScout. Łakomy, who has previously played for Poland's youth national teams, is currently contracted with Young Boys until June 30, 2028. However, he seems inclined to move either temporarily or permanently to secure more regular playing opportunities. The 24-year-old midfielder has amassed over 60 appearances in the Polish Ekstraklasa and participated in eight Champions League matches, scoring a goal against VfB Stuttgart. His potential transfer to OH Leuven, a team in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, follows his significant contribution to Young Boys' Swiss championship win in the 2023/2024 season.
