Slovenian forward Luka Mlakar, 19, is leaving Domžale for Maribor. He is one of many players to depart the club during a difficult period. The forward, who returned to Domžale last year following a three-year period in the youth system at Italian club Roma, has signed a contract with Maribor until the summer of 2028. During the current season, he made 16 appearances in the Prva Liga, scoring once and providing two assists. Maribor had already been searching for a new striker, though they may have been considering a more experienced player. Mlakar has been capped once by the Slovenia U21 team and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €250k.
