Palmeiras are reportedly in ongoing discussions with fellow Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense regarding a potential loan move for Luis Benedetti. The club is said to be open to the move. This would allow the 19-year-old Brazilian centre-back, who has made 4 appearances in the Campeonato Paulista this season, to play more consistently, with the plan for him to develop before returning to Palmeiras. These talks are taking place amid interest from Arsenal. According to reports from Brazil cited by Sport Witness, Arsenal have signalled a potential offer of around €10 million (£8.7m). Palmeiras have reportedly resisted approaches for Benedetti. He joined the club in January 2025, is contracted until 2029, and has a release clause of €100 million. The player has a current Transfermarkt market value of €4.00m and has also been linked with FC Barcelona. In September 2025, it was reported that Palmeiras was seeking €15 million, while Barcelona had prepared an initial bid of €12 million.
