Brøndby has announced the acquisition of 23-year-old English defender Luis Binks from Championship club Coventry City. Binks has committed to a five-year contract with Brøndby. The club's football director, Benjamin Schmedes, conveyed his satisfaction with securing Binks, noting his skills as a left-footed center-back with international experience. Binks, who developed at Tottenham's youth academy, has previously played for Bologna in Serie A and CF Montreal in MLS before his move to Coventry City last year. In the past year, Binks made 22 appearances in the Championship. Schmedes also pointed out that Binks is a good fit for Brøndby's playing style and culture, characterizing him as a modern center-back who combines excellent passing abilities with a competitive edge in duels. According to Transfermarkt, Binks' current market value stands at €2.20m.
