Defender Lucas Halter, a Botafogo player who spent 2025 on loan at Vitória, has an agreement to join Houston Dynamo of MLS. Halter had been in discussions to stay with Vitória after the club activated a purchase clause once he met a minimum number of appearances. However, Houston Dynamo presented a proposal that was considered irresistible and which Vitória could not match. The deal is valued at $1.5 million for 70% of the player's economic rights, and he will sign a five-season contract that runs until 2030. Vitória will receive 10% of the total amount as a 'showcase fee'.
