Grêmio is negotiating the permanent transfer of 25-year-old Brazilian left-back Lucas Esteves to Atlético San Luis in Mexico, and the deal is still in progress. The proposed terms state that Grêmio would release the player but retain a percentage of his economic rights. The negotiation has been reported. Esteves is not in coach Luís Castro's plans and did not report back to the squad, as he had become the third-choice option for his position.
