An offer from Corinthians to sign 19-year-old Brazilian winger Lucas Ferreira from Shakhtar was rejected, making their attempt to sign him unsuccessful. The Brazilian club proposed a one-season loan deal that included a purchase option contingent on the player's performance, as they were unable to finance a permanent transfer. Shakhtar considered these terms unsatisfactory. It was previously reported that Shakhtar might send Ferreira on loan to Athletico Paranaense due to their interest in signing winger Bruninho from that club. Ferreira joined Shakhtar in August 2025 for a fee reported to be €10 million plus add-ons, and his contract is valid until 2030. In the 2025/2026 Premier Liga season, he has made 11 appearances.
