La Louvière has secured the signing of Lucas Bretelle, a 23-year-old midfielder, from US Orléans, a club competing in the French third division. Although there was interest from several clubs in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, Lucas opted for La Louvière's project in the Jupiler Pro League. He has committed to the club with a contract running until 2028. Lucas impressed during the 2024/25 season at Orléans, where he netted three goals and contributed four assists in the Championnat National. The club's sporting director mentioned that they had been monitoring Lucas for three years prior to his breakthrough season.
