FotbollDirekt reports that Tottenham have set an asking price of over £57 million ($76.9 million) for midfielder Lucas Bergvall, after interest was expressed by Aston Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Dean Jones has confirmed Aston Villa are still monitoring Bergvall.

David Ornstein has reported that Tottenham immediately rejected offers from Aston Villa for the 20-year-old midfielder. The continuation of Aston Villa's interest is likely to depend on how much Bergvall is used before the end of the season and the plans of the next permanent manager for him.

During the January transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur rejected transfer enquiries from Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Chelsea for the 20-year-old Swedish international Lucas Bergvall. Both clubs made direct contact with Tottenham. The interest from both clubs was reportedly prompted by the player being played out of position. Tottenham rejected the approaches and will not consider a departure for the midfielder. Bergvall has 6 caps for Sweden and has made 17 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists. His contract with the club is valid until 2031, and his current market value is €40.00m, according to Transfermarkt. A pundit suggested a value over £110m in September 2025, and reports in the summer of 2025 cited price tags of €60m. Bergvall joined Tottenham from Djurgården in July 2024 for a fee that was reported as €10m.
