Celta de Vigo has announced an agreement with Charlotte FC for the transfer of 27-year-old midfielder Luca de la Torre. The United States international joins the North Carolina team, which competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), after playing on loan last season at San Diego FC, also in the MLS. De la Torre had arrived at Celta in the summer of 2022 from Heracles Almelo of the Dutch Eredivisie. During his time with the club, he played in 67 matches, scored four goals, and registered nine assists. In its announcement, Celta thanked the player for his commitment and wished him success in his new professional stage.
