Genk is reportedly looking to sign a goalscorer in January and, according to Jeunes Footeux, is among the clubs interested in 23-year-old Romanian forward Louis Munteanu. The forward was the top scorer in the Romanian league last season with 23 goals, but has scored only twice in seventeen matches this season. FC Nantes and Dinamo Zagreb are also said to be interested, and DC United has been mentioned as well. Munteanu's club, CFR Cluj, reportedly has a demand of 8 million euros, which would be a significant investment for Genk. The Romanian international, who has 4 caps and 2 goals, joined CFR Cluj in July 2024 and is under contract until 2028. His market value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt at €5.00m.
