Lorenzo Colombo Transfer from Milan to Sassuolo

Tuttomercato reports on Lorenzo Colombo's transfer situation involving Empoli and potential interest from other Serie A clubs. Lorenzo Colombo is not going to be redeemed by Empoli as per the predefined terms (the purchase price for a permanent transfer is 7 million euros). Milan still owns his registration, and he is expected to return to Milan in the summer. However, there is interest from several Serie A clubs, including newly promoted Sassuolo, Torino, and most recently Genoa. The Genoa interest is partly due to their difficulties in retaining Pinamonti, who may return to Sassuolo.

According to Tuttomercato, Sassuolo is interested in acquiring Lorenzo Colombo to potentially fill the gap left by Pinamonti. As they prepare for their return to Serie A after a year, Sassuolo sees Colombo as a suitable option. Colombo is actively seeking a new team this summer. Following Empoli's relegation to Serie B, the club opted not to exercise their 7 million euro purchase option for Colombo, leading to his return to Milan. Nonetheless, Milan is unlikely to keep him for the next season, positioning Sassuolo as a feasible destination for Colombo as they look to strengthen their squad for Serie A.
