Celtic manager Martin O'Neill and coach Mark Fotheringham attended Preston North End's 1-1 draw with QPR at Deepdale. It was reported that a few players on the pitch were of interest to Celtic, including Preston's Liam Lindsay, who is a 30-year-old Scottish player and an experienced, left-footed option at centre-back. Lindsay joined Preston in July 2021 and has made 22 appearances in the Championship during the 2025/2026 season. His contract is due to expire in June 2027, and he has no senior caps for Scotland. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m.
