Liam Delap Transfer from Ipswich Town to Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Team Talk reports on Bayer Leverkusen's interest in signing Liam Delap, as the club makes enquiries to secure the player's transfer.

Liam Delap, an English U21 national striker, can leave Ipswich Town due to a clause activated by the club's relegation. Bayer Leverkusen is among several clubs interested in him. All interested clubs are reportedly ready to pay the fixed transfer fee, and Delap wishes to decide on his new club before the U21 European Championship in Slovakia in mid-June. At Leverkusen, Delap could potentially replace Victor Boniface, who is linked with a summer departure.

Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and Eintracht Frankfurt have expressed interest in signing Liam Delap. Scouts from these clubs were present at Ipswich's match against Tottenham Hotspur to observe Delap's performance. The Bundesliga trio is eager to finalize a summer transfer for the 22-year-old, with RB Leipzig reportedly at the forefront of the pursuit. Leipzig is making arrangements for the possible exit of Benjamin Sesko and considers Delap a fitting replacement. Should Arsenal manage to secure Sesko's signature, it could interfere with Chelsea's intentions to acquire Delap.
