Benfica, Como, and Villarreal are among several foreign clubs interested in Chelsea's 23-year-old English striker, Liam Delap, for whom the London club has set an asking price of £40 million. However, it is reported that the striker wants to remain in England, where Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Everton have also been linked. Chelsea sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that they expect Delap to have left the club by the end of August. Delap has a contract with the club until 2031 and a current market value of €28.00m according to Transfermarkt. While the asking price is widely reported at £40 million, other reports in summer 2026 suggested a deal could be made for a figure closer to £30 million, while some reports cited figures over £50 million.
