Journalist Felipe Sierra reported that 31-year-old Leonai Souza will be a new player for Millonarios and is currently in Bogotá for medical exams and to sign his contract. According to Sierra, the Brazilian midfielder also received offers from San Lorenzo and Sporting Cristal. Souza chose the sporting project at Millonarios, influenced by the chance to reunite with coach Fabián Bustos. He was a regular starter for Bustos at Barcelona SC. Leonai joined his current club, Clube Náutico Capibaribe, in March 2026, and his contract is scheduled to expire on November 30, 2026.
