Reading and Luton Town, both League One clubs, are pursuing Birmingham City's 25-year-old English defender Lee Buchanan for a potential loan move. According to journalist Darren Witcoop, Birmingham are ready to loan out the left-sided defender this summer. Buchanan, who arrived at St. Andrew's from Werder Bremen in 2023, has had limited opportunities under Chris Davies, partly due to a cruciate ligament injury and the form of Alex Cochrane, which has resulted in his standing in the team being reduced. The former England U21 international has two caps and a contract with the club until 2028. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.20m.
