Rangers' owners, the 49ers, are competing with Saudi club Al-Fateh to sign 29-year-old Mali international Lassana Coulibaly from Serie A side Lecce. The midfielder previously had a loan spell at Rangers from Angers in the 2018/19 season, and a permanent move could be for a fee of approximately €4m (£3.5m). Coulibaly has 55 caps for his country and is under contract until June 2027, having joined Lecce in August 2024. In February 2026, reports indicated Lecce's asking price is between €4 million and €5 million. The player's previous transfer was a €1.8 million move from Salernitana in August 2024. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €2.5 million.
