Lamine Ba has joined Śląsk Wrocław after the club received financial support from the city.

Rafał Grodzicki, Śląsk Wrocław's sporting director, stated that Lamine Ba had been a player of interest to the club since the previous season, but financial reasons had previously prevented them from acquiring him. Before the transfer, Lamine Ba contacted Tonio Teklic, who is a player for Widzew Łódź currently on loan at NK Osijek. Ba stated that conversations with the club were sufficient for him to make the decision to move.

Regular centre-back Lamine Ba (28), who holds both Mauritanian and French nationality, has left Nikola Šafarić's Varaždin to join Polish club Śląsk Wrocław. With the player's contract set to expire in the summer, Varaždin decided to secure a transfer fee, which is expected to be around 120,000 euros. The Mauritanian had spent almost four years with the club, where he was considered a reliable defender. He has 26 caps and one goal for Mauritania, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €600k.
