Konstantinos Karetsas Transfer from Genk to Sunderland
Journalist Alan Nixon reports that scouts from Sunderland were in the stands to watch Karetsas during the European match against Rangers. An English quintet is said to be closely monitoring the player's development and is considering making an offer as early as January. They will likely have to pay at least €25 million to convince Genk.
Sunderland are interested in Genk's 17-year-old attacking midfielder, Konstantinos Karetsas, and have scouted him this season. The Greek international, who can also operate as a winger, has also attracted attention from other Premier League clubs, including Everton, Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Liverpool, who have also watched him play. His contract with Genk runs until June 30, 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €20.00m.
