Konrad de la Fuente, 25, arrived in Gijón on Tuesday to finalize his permanent transfer to Sporting from the Swiss club Lausanne, pending a medical examination and signing his new contract. The American winger's deal is expected to last until 2029. The Asturian club increased their efforts to sign de la Fuente after encountering difficulties in other attempts to sign a player for the same position, such as for Jastin García of Girona. The signing of a winger was a priority for Sporting's sporting direction, and if completed, de la Fuente will become the club's ninth summer signing. De la Fuente joined Lausanne in July 2024 and has made three appearances for the USA national team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €700k.
