Rangers are interested in Metz's 27-year-old Ivorian right-back Koffi Kouao, who has been impressive in Ligue 1 this season. The club is assessing multiple right-back options and accelerating their plans because captain James Tavernier has announced he will leave Ibrox at the end of the season, while Max Aarons is also set to return to Bournemouth from his loan spell. Kouao has three caps for the Ivory Coast U23 team and a contract with the French club until 2026. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m. Turkish club Kayserispor has also been linked with the player.
