Ko Itakura Transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Eintracht Frankfurt

According to the 'Rheinische Post', Ko Itakura is most likely to join Eintracht Frankfurt. However, the transfer is contingent on the sale of Tuta, with Eintracht Frankfurt hoping to receive 15 million euros for him. Itakura has a release clause of 10 to 12 million euros, which is slightly cheaper than the expected sale of Tuta.

Ko Itakura has indicated his desire to depart from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Rheinische Post has reported that Eintracht Frankfurt is keen on signing him. Borussia Mönchengladbach is actively trying to retain him by extending his contract beyond June 2026. The 28-year-old defender is said to be attracting interest from top Bundesliga clubs, including FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen, as well as teams from England, Spain, France, and the Netherlands. Despite the widespread interest, Borussia Mönchengladbach's managing director, Roland Virkus, is optimistic about the possibility of extending Itakura's contract, highlighting the club's clear objective of keeping him. However, if a contract extension is not reached, the club will need to make a decision by the end of the season, as his current contract is set to expire in June 2026.
