Beşiktaş is reportedly attempting to sign Dutch goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen from Union SG before the Turkish transfer window closes in two days. The Turkish club made an offer for the 26-year-old player, which was rejected. Union SG is unwilling to sell their primary goalkeeper during the season, particularly as the transfer window for Belgian clubs is already shut. Scherpen has a contract with the club until 2028 and has made 20 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season. It is also said that the English clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest are interested in him.
