Dutch-Nigerian right-back Kingsley Ehizibue, 31, has been identified as an option for Valencia, whose transfer planning has been stalled for weeks due to difficulties in securing a player for that position. The club's search has been complicated since a deal for Meunier fell through in mid-July. The current list of potential right-backs, which includes Ehizibue, does not convince manager Corberán, resulting in several managed operations not being completed. Valencia has very limited funds for this role and had initially looked for a free transfer, though they have approved the use of €1.75 million from the Cenk sale if an investment is required. Ehizibue is a free agent, and the former Netherlands U21 international has also been linked with Watford. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €2.00m.
