Kennedy Boateng, a 29-year-old Togolese and Ghanaian central defender whose contract with Dinamo is set to expire at the end of the month, will be leaving Romania after a two-year period. Boateng has signed with Al-Fateh in Saudi Arabia after the club made an official offer. The defender had also been on the transfer list for FCSB, with the club's owner, Gigi Becali, publicly acknowledging his interest just days prior. Becali stated that he had heard the player was close to a transfer abroad and had already signed with a foreign team, adding his understanding that Boateng did not wish to continue playing in Romania. The defender, who has been capped 14 times by the Togo national team, made 29 appearances and scored 4 goals in the SuperLiga during the 2025/2026 season, in addition to 9 appearances and 1 goal in the Championship group, and has a Transfermarkt valuation of €1.20m.
