FC Copenhagen signed Costa Rican full-back Kenan Myrie from Saprissa during the winter transfer window. The club's management accelerated the deal for the 19-year-old following a recent injury to Rodrigo Huescas, as Myrie became the priority to cover the position. Sporting director Sune Smith-Nielsen stated that they had followed Myrie for a long time, had seen his potential, and noted he was a player who had already performed at a senior level. The club projects him as a dominant player for the Superliga in the long term. Myrie, who has five appearances for the Costa Rican national team, arrives with a record of five goals and five assists in 53 matches and will wear the number 18 shirt.
