Ken Masui has signed a contract with Beerschot. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder will be on loan from Nagoya Grampus for the rest of the season. Beerschot has also secured a purchase option for Ken Masui. Sporting director Murat Akin stated that Ken is a player who aligns with their vision. Akin added that Masui is 24 years old, has already developed well and they are convinced that he can provide added value, getting the opportunity at Beerschot to develop further and assume an important role. Ken Masui said he is very happy with this career move, stating Beerschot is his first club in Europe and he is looking forward to beginning there. He added that he wants to adapt as quickly as possible and commit fully to the club.

The move appears to be influenced by Beerschot's new Japanese owners, who are aiming to bring in a second player from their home country. Masui was previously on loan at Jubilo Iwata from Nagoya Grampus, where he played alongside former Beerschot defender Jan Van den Bergh. In his 38 appearances in the Japanese second division for Jubilo Iwata, he scored six goals and provided three assists.
