Reports from Japan have confirmed Beerschot's interest in Ken Masui. The club intends to acquire the 24-year-old offensive midfielder on a loan basis. The move appears to be influenced by Beerschot's new Japanese owners, who are aiming to bring in a second player from their home country. Masui was previously on loan at Jubilo Iwata from Nagoya Grampus, where he played alongside former Beerschot defender Jan Van den Bergh. In his 38 appearances in the Japanese second division for Jubilo Iwata, he scored six goals and provided three assists.
