Botafogo have loaned their 20-year-old Brazilian forward Kayke to Kawasaki Frontale for one season. The attacker, who is a product of Botafogo's youth academy, had spent time on loan at Fortaleza since August of the previous year, a move that was reportedly requested by then-manager Renato Paiva, who had previously coached the player at Botafogo. In 2026, Kayke made 13 appearances and scored one goal for the Ceará-based club. After his loan spell concluded, he returned to Botafogo before being sent to the Japanese team. The club's intention with the new loan is to provide Kayke with more playing experience, as he does not feature in the current plans of coach Franclim Carvalho's staff. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.00m.
