Karol Świderski Transfer from Panathinaikos to Legia Warszawa

Rumors have resurfaced regarding Legia Warszawa's interest in Polish international Karol Świderski. Coach Marek Papszun stated that while many strikers are being considered, there are no definite actions at present, describing Świderski as an interesting name.

Media associated with "Koniczynki" have reported that Legia Warsaw is seriously considering acquiring Karol Świderski. The reports state the asking price is between two and two and a half million euros. The same media indicates the Greeks would prefer to permanently transfer the 29-year-old, with a loan including a mandatory purchase clause being a last resort. Tomasz Włodarczyk states that the World Cup qualifiers participant does not rule out returning to play in the Ekstraklasa. On the program "Transfer Window", Włodarczyk explained that there are no talks at this stage, but after Monday the option of a loan with a purchase obligation may become more realistic. This option becomes possible for Legia once they resolve their squad situation regarding Rajović and Colak.

According to a report from Tomasz Wlodarczyk, a return to Poland for Karol Swiderski is possible following the conclusion of the transfer window in the top 5 leagues. The same report indicates a potential move to Legia or another strong club.

According to Greek media, Legia Warsaw is very interested in the 29-year-old Karol Świderski. Rafa Benitez believes Świderski has no future at Panathinaikos, and Świderski wants to play regularly to join the Polish national team for the World Cup. On Kanal Sportowy, Mateusz Borek said that the player has received permission to look for a new club. Borek stated that if the permission came from Panathinaikos and if Karol agrees with Legia, he would be certain about the transfer.

According to portal paopantou.gr, Legia Warszawa is showing strong interest in signing Karol Świderski. The portal also describes the club's actions as having exerted a strong influence. Greek media reports state that a decision regarding Świderski's future is expected by the end of the week. He has received proposals from both Arab and Polish teams in recent weeks. Panathinaikos would like to sell Świderski, but none of the current offers are for a permanent transfer. If this does not change, a loan with an option to buy is considered a realistic solution.

There is interest in Karol Swiderski from his home country, with Legia Warsaw monitoring his situation. It is reported that neither the player nor Panathinaikos are insistent that he stay, and Panathinaikos is open to a sale if an offer close to the €1.9 million spent for his acquisition is made.

Karol Świderski, a 28-year-old Polish international, joined Panathinaikos at the beginning of the year with a contract lasting until June 2028. Before this move, he was linked with Legia Warszawa. At that time, Sebastian Staszewski had emphasized that this scenario was possible. The topic of a return could become relevant again, as the forward may find it difficult to secure a position in the team under new manager Rafa Benítez. It is reported that Benítez is looking to sign a new striker in the winter. On the 'Ofensywni' podcast, Piotr Wołosik expressed concern for Świderski's situation and suggested that Benítez may not favor Polish players. Świderski has 47 caps and 13 goals for Poland, and has scored 4 goals in 11 league appearances this season. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €5.00m, and he has also been linked with PAOK.
