Śląsk Wrocław announced the signing of Karol Borys on the last day of the transfer window. The 19-year-old decided to return to the club, arriving on a free transfer from Belgian club KVC Westerlo. The contract he signed is valid until June 30, 2029.

According to Voetbalnieuws.be, Karol Borys will leave Westerlo to return to his former club, Slask Wroclaw, in a transfer that local media report is definitive. Westerlo will receive performance-based bonuses and a percentage of any future resale. After his return to Westerlo in the summer, Borys had limited playing time and was not included in the match squad after the opening matchday.

Filip Macuda of Sport.pl reported that Karol Borys is returning to Śląsk Wrocław from Westerlo. It was also reported by Sport.pl that Borys will move from Westerlo for free and will sign a contract with Śląsk Wrocław valid until 30 June 2029.

Karol Borys, a 19-year-old Polish midfielder, may return to Śląsk Wrocław after two years playing abroad. The midfielder played for the Wrocław club until 2024 before moving to the Belgian team Westerlo in February of that year for a transfer fee of two million euros. His time in Belgium was affected by health issues, and he spent the last two seasons on loan at Maribor in Slovenia. Before leaving Poland, Borys had trials with Manchester United and Fiorentina. He is expected to sign a contract with Śląsk Wrocław that will run until 2029. The Poland U20 international, for whom he has 5 caps, has a current Transfermarkt market value of €600k.
