Karol Borys's loan to Maribor has been extended for another year until mid-2026. He had a decent season at Maribor last year but was sidelined by an injury. Westerlo initially signed the 18-year-old Polish international from Slask Wroclaw for 2 million euros in early 2024. Despite playing only four matches for Westerlo, Borys was loaned to Maribor last season, where he managed to play nineteen games before his injury. The Slovenian top club Maribor will continue to benefit from his talents for another season as part of the renewed loan agreement.
