Kamil Piątkowski Transfer from Red Bull Salzburg to Legia Warszawa
Kamil Piątkowski is set to transfer to Legia Warszawa. The transfer was heavily dependent on Legia's qualification for the group stage of a European cup. Following their successful qualification, there are no longer any obstacles to finalizing the transfer. The player is expected to travel to Warsaw in the coming days to sign the necessary documents. He was previously on loan at Kasımpaşa SK but returned to Red Bull Salzburg this summer. However, the Austrian club does not see a future with the Polish player, prompting his decision to move to Legia Warszawa.
Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki.pl reported that Polish central defender Kamil Piątkowski is on the verge of joining Legia Warszawa. The deal is in its final stages, with the player expected to arrive in Warsaw shortly. This potential acquisition is perceived as bringing in a successor to Jan Ziółkowski, who is nearing a deal with Roma. Piątkowski, currently under contract with Red Bull Salzburg until June 30, 2026, had previously reached a preliminary agreement with Udinese Calcio and had drawn interest from Cagliari Calcio and Getafe. Nevertheless, it now seems he will be making a move back to Poland. The 25-year-old, who played in Poland until 2021 before transferring to Austria from Raków Częstochowa for six million euros, has since been loaned to Gent, Granada, and Kasimpasa, where he made 13 appearances in the Turkish league last season.
