Kalidou Sidibé Transfer from Guingamp to Celtic
Celtic have been given a boost in their pursuit of reported target Kalidou Sidibe, with the Guincamp star's manager under no illusions about the prospect of the midfielder moving on this summer. The Paris-born player is into the final 12 months of his contract with the Ligue 1 club, who are said to value him at around £1.7million. Guincamp boss Sylvain Ripoll admits he knows the towering midfielder will be open to moving elsewhere should the right opportunity arise.
Reports in France have linked Guingamp midfielder Kalidou Sidibe with a move to Celtic. A £1.7 million bid has reportedly been put on the table. Guingamp club president Fred Le Grand admitted that Sidibe is among the players who have attracted interest, and the club might be forced to sell to balance the books after reporting a €7.4 million loss.
Kalidou Sidibe is reportedly the subject of transfer interest from Celtic, with the club willing to pay almost £2 million for the towering midfielder. Multiple European clubs, including PSV Eindhoven, Grasshopper Zurich, Ipswich Town, and Toulouse, are keen on Sidibe. The 26-year-old, who stands at nearly 6ft 7 inches, has impressed for Guingamp in Ligue 2 this season, recording one goal and six assists in 31 appearances, which have helped propel the team into the play-off spots.
