Marca reports on the financial implications of a minor sale of Junior not happening, stating the transfer could have helped balance the budget.

According to Marca, new signings could be possible if Junior Firpo's salary is freed up.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Junior's future at Real Betis is uncertain because of growing interest from other clubs. Junior is under contract with Real Betis, but his continuation with the club is not assured if a good offer arrives.

The Sports Commission and the coaching staff will thoroughly examine the possibility of Fajardo completely renewing the left-back position after LaLiga ends; this is dependent on the market. The position is occupied by Junior Firpo, a 29-year-old Dominican Republic international. His contract expires on June 30, 2028. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €5.00m. He has 15 caps and 5 goals for the Dominican Republic.
