AEK Athens are considering a move for 27-year-old Albanian central midfielder Juljan Shehu as they are searching for a player in that position. It was reported a few weeks ago that Olympiacos was also targeting the player. It is also noted that AEK's Thomas Strakosha and Stavros Pilios, who are Shehu's teammates on the Albanian national team, hold him in high regard. Shehu, who has 11 caps for his country, plays for the Polish club Widzew Lodz and is under contract until 2028. In the 2025/2026 Ekstraklasa season, he made 32 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €3.5 million. In September 2025, his club reportedly rejected an offer of approximately €1 million from Konyaspor.
