Austria Wien is close to signing winger Julian Hettwer and has submitted a written offer for the 23-year-old. It is reported that the German has traveled to Vienna for talks and is a player the club desires. Hettwer holds a contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf, whom he joined in July 2025, until 2029 but did not establish himself there, making seven appearances in the 2. Bundesliga in the 2025/2026 season and missing a large portion of it with a meniscus tear.
