Cruz Azul is reportedly looking for a new forward for the next tournament, but the club is still in an analysis phase and does not yet have a specific name under consideration. In the last week, various rumors claimed that Necaxa's 26-year-old Argentine-Italian forward Julián Carranza was one of the players being scouted by La Máquina, and there was also some talk that negotiations for the attacker were already underway. The club's management is not currently contemplating signing the player. Carranza joined Necaxa in January 2026 and has been capped twice by Argentina's U23 team, scoring one goal. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €5.00m.
