Hibernian's 23-year-old Scottish midfielder Josh Mulligan is a target for French club Lille and German side Wolfsburg, and the former Scotland Under-21s international has a release clause in his contract. The midfielder has also attracted interest from England, as the Scottish Daily Mail reported in December that both Leeds United and Nottingham Forest had made initial approaches, adding at the time that Forest's interest was more advanced. Mulligan, who joined Hibernian on a free transfer in July 2025, has made 19 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season, scoring once and providing four assists. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €1.20m. While a potential transfer fee has been described as very affordable, recent reports suggest a significant offer would be required for a January move.
