Speaking on the Futbolownia channel, Śląsk Wrocław's sporting director, Rafał Grodzicki, said that documents were ready for José Pozo to sign and that he was in a hotel 150 meters away. Grodzicki stated that all details were agreed upon except for a small financial issue that Pozo's agent did not like. After a 55-minute conversation, Grodzicki hung up and refused to negotiate further. This was reportedly over an additional 800 euro. He added that five minutes later, Pozo's agent called back and said that José would come and sign the contract.

Although at one point it appeared that Śląsk Wrocław might work on bringing José Pozo back, no concrete talks regarding the matter took place.

Maciej Iwański claimed that José Pozo from Pogoń Szczecin was one of three signings from Ekstraklasa that were secured for Śląsk Wrocław. Marcin Torz revealed that José Pozo was among the players Maciej Iwański mentioned as potentially joining Śląsk Wrocław.

Piotr Potępa stated that a return for José Pozo to Śląsk Wrocław is not currently a topic of discussion. Pozo is a 29-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder who may leave Pogoń Szczecin this winter. Officials at Śląsk Wrocław had discussed the potential reacquisition of the player's rights but have not proceeded with any action on the matter. Other Polish clubs are reportedly interested in the Spanish player. According to Piotr Koźmiński of Goal.pl, Pozo recently rejected offers from Cyprus and Turkey because he intends to continue his career in Poland, where initial inquiries are starting to be made. Pozo joined Pogoń in July 2025, and his contract is valid until June 30, 2027. He has provided one assist in 12 Ekstraklasa appearances this season. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €400k.
