1. FC Köln is searching for a left-footed central defender and is interested in 24-year-old José Marsà of Belgian top-flight side KV Mechelen. The Bundesliga team hopes to finalize a transfer for the former Spanish youth international, whose contract is set to expire in a year, for just under €1.5 million. Marsà considers a move to Köln appealing, but he is also being considered by other clubs, including two teams from La Liga and US Sassuolo. Marsà joined Mechelen in July 2024 and made 23 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists, plus another 10 appearances in the league's Champions' Play-Offs. KV Mechelen reportedly paid €160,000 for his transfer from FC Andorra, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.50m.
