Jorge Sánchez, a 28-year-old Mexican defender for Cruz Azul, has attracted interest from the Greek league club PAOK. Sánchez previously played in Europe for Ajax and FC Porto and could return to the continent with the Greek club, which also competes in the UEFA Europa League. There are currently no negotiations between the clubs, as PAOK has only been in contact with the player's representative. PAOK will need to make a formal offer to Cruz Azul for talks to advance, because discussions are currently at a preliminary stage. Sánchez has a contract with the Mexican club until June 2027, and his market value is €2.20m, according to Transfermarkt. The defender has 54 caps and two goals for Mexico.
