Cuenca is considered to fit the club's desired profile of a left-footed defender with quality build-up play and experience. The player joined Fulham in August 2024 and was coached by incoming manager Marco Silva at the club last season. A product of Barcelona's academy, Cuenca has a contract with the English club until 2028 with an option for one additional year. A transfer could be negotiated for a fee slightly above €10 million. He made 12 appearances last season, eight as a starter.
