A bid from Barnsley for 25-year-old English winger Jordan Thomas was rejected in July 2025. The club was reportedly interested in him again during the January window while he was having a productive season with Cheltenham Town. During that same period, reports from Oxford also linked Lincoln City to the player. Thomas is now a free agent after leaving Cheltenham at the end of the 2025/26 season, and Oxford United is reportedly close to an agreement for him.
