Jordan Ferri, a 33-year-old French midfielder who is not part of Sampdoria's plans, nearly returned to his native France near the end of the transfer window. Troyes had reached an agreement with the midfielder and he approved the move, but the negotiations with the Italian club were not successful. Sampdoria's CEO Jesper Fredberg will continue to seek a new club for Ferri in foreign markets that are still open. Ferri, who joined the club in August 2025, has a contract until June 30, 2027, and has made five appearances in Serie B this season without a goal or an assist. According to Transfermarkt, the former France U21 international has a current market value of €500k. He has also been linked with Bastia and OFI.
