Jonathan Jesus Transfer from Cruzeiro to Zenit

Globo.com reported that the transfer of Jonathan Jesus to Zenit has been halted. The Fox had negotiated the sale of Jonathan Jesus to the club from Russia, but the move was vetoed by Tite.

Globo.com reported that Jonathan Jesus received two proposals from Zenit. An initial proposal of 8 million euros was refused, and while Zenit indicated a willingness to pay 10 million euros, the talks did not progress. The reasons for this included Jonathan Jesus being a starter in the Copa do Brasil semifinal against Corinthians, a change in technical command, and coach Tite's request to keep all starters due to a significant injury to Lucas Villalba. Jonathan's name was later linked to Cruzeiro's negotiations for Gerson, who is a Zenit player. Discussions between the Brazilian club and the Russian club regarding the midfielder are ongoing, but a quick resolution is not anticipated.

Zenit has expressed interest in Jonathan Jesus and made two offers in recent weeks. The first offer was for 8 million euros, followed by a signal to pay 10 million euros. Negotiations intensified, but the situation subsided after Jonathan Jesus started and performed well against Corinthians in the Copa do Brasil semifinal.

ESPN BR reported that Cruzeiro rejected two proposals from Zenit in recent days for Jonathan Jesus. Zenit is asking for the inclusion of the player in the deal to release Gerson. Cruzeiro currently values Jonathan Jesus at 15 million euros.

Negotiations for Gerson's transfer to Cruzeiro include the possibility of Jonathan Jesus moving to Russian football. Zenit has been negotiating with Cruzeiro for several weeks for Jonathan Jesus and has offered 10 million euros for the defender. The transfer could be part of a deal totaling 25 million euros, conditional on Cruzeiro releasing Jonathan and paying 15 million euros for Gerson. Jonathan Jesus's departure is still under discussion, according to ge.

Zenit made an offer of approximately R$ 50 million for Jonathan Jesus, while Cruzeiro desires a value exceeding R$ 60 million to enter negotiations for him.

ESPN reported, and ge confirmed, that Cruzeiro received a proposal from Zenit to negotiate the rights of defender Jonathan Jesus, with the Russian club offering around eight million euros to sign the player starting next year. The club from Minas Gerais is in talks but wants a higher amount for the defender.

Zenit submitted a proposal to Cruzeiro at the beginning of December for 21-year-old Brazilian defender Jonathan Jesus. According to ESPN, the potential value of the deal reaches up to €8 million. The Russian club's offer consists of a fixed payment of €7 million, which would be delivered in two equal installments, and a possible €1 million in performance-based bonuses. Jonathan Jesus's contract with the Brazilian club is valid until 2029. He joined Cruzeiro in July 2024 and, according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €2.50m.
