Real Sociedad have presented a strong offer of 15 million euros for Jonathan Jesus, a 22-year-old Brazilian defender who is one of Cruzeiro's standout players. Central da Toca reports that Cruzeiro's management is inflexible and will only start negotiations from a minimum of 20 million euros. The same outlet also reports that two other LaLiga clubs, Real Betis and Valencia, are interested in the defender. Real Sociedad's interest is because Jesus is an ideal fit for Pellegrino Matarazzo's system, as he is a right-footed player accustomed to playing on the left side of central defence. According to Brazilian sources, the Spanish club is willing to make a significant financial investment to convince Cruzeiro. The centre-back joined Cruzeiro in July 2024 and has a contract until June 2029. This season, he has made 12 appearances in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €8.00m.
