Nottingham Forest is attempting to sign Jonathan Jesus, a 22-year-old Brazilian central defender from Cruzeiro, with the intention of loaning him to Olympiacos. He joined Cruzeiro in July 2024 and his contract runs until June 2029. During the 2025/2026 season, he made 15 appearances in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Other English teams, including Chelsea, are also reportedly interested in the player. Cruzeiro values the player at €18 million and has previously rejected firm offers for the defender, including bids of €13 million and €15 million from Real Sociedad during the summer of 2026.
