Jon Mersinaj, a 27-year-old Albanian centre-back, is a new player for Slaven Belupo after leaving Osijek. He is expected to play in the defense for Mario Gregurina's team in Koprivnica. Mersinaj had joined Osijek from Lokomotiva in February 2025, signing a contract until the summer of 2027, with Lokomotiva receiving a fee for that deal. After not making any appearances for Osijek this season despite being in the squad, he has completed his move. The fee paid by Slaven to Osijek for this transfer is not known. He has one cap for the Albanian national team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €400k.
